Tell us more...show us more!

Great to see your post Dustin, and interesting that you're now in Butte.

Great town, great history.

Evel Knevel's home town.

Be careful though, it's still a damn tough town so watch your backtrail. {:>)

Dustin,

Some real classics!!

I consider Butte one of the west's most interesting towns.  And my grandfather was a miner there in the very late 1800's.

I'm not sure about Butte being a tough town, but when my motorcycle sidecar had a blowout about 30 miles out of town I was flatbedded to the Honda dealer in Butte (the rig was a Harley Sportster with a Velorex sidecar).  They dropped everything in the service bay and got right to work getting a new tire installed.  Could not have been nicer or more helpful.

I said "tough" tongue-in-cheek, but there are still a few scary folks uptown, even though lots of the old buildings have been torn down.

Most everybody I met in Butte were great folks; polite, and friendly.

Oh, and you can still get great burgers at the M&M Uptown.

IMG_3855.JPG Ill keep posting pics as things come in. I love Butte, it is my favorite place on Earth! Here is a trolley car sign that mentions a " Scenic Auto Road " from Butte to Pipestone. We all know that road's name-
