I am posting this temporarily for Bill and Linda von Tagen. They just completed a cross-country trip visiting all of the highlights and sites of the Lincoln Highway. They are driving a late-model Mustang convertible and pulling a restored pop-up camper.

They were at Plymouth Rock yesterday and are starting their return to home in Boise, Idaho on the Yellowstone Trail.

Here is yesterday's post, and it has the complete blog list by date, so you can follow the entire trip if you wish.

Photo is in Times Square, New York on the LH.

Thanks Mark, and the blog is quite interesting.  I also recommend it.

I was able to meet up with Bill & Linda in Kenosha, Wisconsin this morning.

They "blasted" right through the heart of Chicago yesterday afternoon at rush hour!!!

Now, they have the pleasant and relaxing part of the Yellowstone Trail ahead of them...and they are in need of a bit of relaxing after their day yesterday.

Bill forgot the YT magnetic signs we loaned to him, so we did an "official passing of the signs" from my Mustang to his in an IHOP Restaurant parking lot.

Happy Trails Bill and Linda.

Mark, Bill, and Linda,

Get a horse!!....Mustangs, horse......OK, it's a stretch but it's the best I have right now. :)

Best of luck on what promises to be a great trip.  And Mark, thanks for the photos!  Two nice cars.

Bill & Linda are posting every day as they  travel the "real meat" of the Trail. They had an interesting visit with the Ridges on Saturday and they were in the Mecca...Ipswich, SD yesterday visiting Joe Parmley's office and home.

The blog continues:

Bill & Linda von Tagen made it to Yellowstone National Park, the goal of many early YT travelers!

Along the way, they discovered many cool little historic YT places and sites and met some really friendly folks. I am impressed with their research and dedication to following the new maps we have posted on our website.

There will certainly be future Arrow newsletter articles about their trip. I'll also post their wrap-up here when I get it.

This trip is over. Bill & Linda decided to head home to Idaho after a very long trip along the Lincoln Highway and probably 3/4 of the Yellowstone Trail.
